Barbara Lee Harrell, 83, passed away March 27, 2015 at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, TN. Born on March 10, 1932 in Ripley, MS, she was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Curtis Lee and Lucille Crawford. She was an outstanding student, a member of The National Honor Society and graduated from Memphis Tech High School, class of 1950. Barbara Lee Harrell, 83, passed away March 27, 2015 at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, TN. Born on March 10, 1932 in Ripley, MS, she was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Curtis Lee and Lucille Crawford. She was an outstanding student, a member of The National Honor Society and graduated from Memphis Tech High School, class of 1950. Barbara held several positions with government jobs at The Army Depot and The Internal Revenue Service from whence she retired. As a member of The First Baptist Church in Olive Branch she was an active member of her Sunday School class. She enjoyed spending time with her family, liked tending her flower beds, and genuinely loved to read. She was handy at all types of needlework, especially smocking and tatting for her grandchildren, liked tracing her genealogy and playing games on her computer. Barbara is survived by her husband of 65 years, Earl Herbert Harrell III of Olive Branch; two sons, Hunter Lee Harrell of Independence, MS and Jeffery Owen Harrell (Cheryl) of Collierville, TN, her grandchildren, Ashley Fryer (Kevin), John Harrell (Lindsey) and Joshua Harrell; her great- grandchildren, Coleman and Camryn Fryer and Caden Harrell; her sister and best friend, Sue Johnson of Olive Branch and her nephew, Barry Johnson. Services will be handled by Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch MS with visitation April 1 from 5 - 7 p.m. and funeral service April 2 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens on Germantown Parkway in Bartlett, TN.
