JAMES "Jimmy" VARNER, of Southaven, MS passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 in Memphis, TN. Jimmy, a graduate from Messick High School in Memphis, TN, and an alumni from Ole Miss, was a commercial contractor, owner of Varner Construction Company in Memphis, TN. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum Rd., Olive Branch, MS, Sunday, March 29th. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 30, at Gracewood Baptist Church, 8551 Getwell Rd., Southaven, MS. Pastor Barry Baker will be officiating. Burial will follow...

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Barbara Varner of Southaven, MS; his mother, Marie Bevell of Memphis, TN; his brother, Randy Boren (Carol) of Batesville, MS; his sister, Judy Stanley (Ed) of Memphis, TN; his children, Cheryl Taylor of Hernando,MS, Rob Varner of Grand Junction, TN, Colin Varner of Memphis, TN, and step-son, Patrick Hess III of Walls, MS; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
