Margie Pearl Smith, 85, of Olive Branch, MS, formerly of Jonesboro, AR, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016. Mrs. Smith was retired from Methodist University Hospital as an LPN and was a founding member of Whitehaven United Pentecostal Church, later known as The Pentecostal Church of Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Smith and two sisters. Mrs. Smith is survived by two sons, Randy Smith (Develle), and Steve Smith (Nannette), two brothers, Alvis Moore, Jr. and Carl Moore, and one sister, Viola Huffman. Margie Pearl Smith, 85, of Olive Branch, MS, formerly of Jonesboro, AR, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016. Mrs. Smith was retired from Methodist University Hospital as an LPN and was a founding member of Whitehaven United Pentecostal Church, later known as The Pentecostal Church of Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Smith and two sisters. Mrs. Smith is survived by two sons, Randy Smith (Develle), and Steve Smith (Nannette), two brothers, Alvis Moore, Jr. and Carl Moore, and one sister, Viola Huffman. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Jayson Smith (Cylleena), Angela Rogers (Jimmy), and Matthew Smith (Dana), as well as six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 6-8pm and the funeral service will be Monday, September 19, 2016 at 10am, all at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS. Interment will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
